The Fixer

I am sure that my Dad would not mind me saying that Pearl Jam is my favorite band. They have a new song called "The Fixer" which is #3 on the modern rock charts and I like to try and sing the "yeah yeah yeah" part through the amp daddy uses for his guitar with a real microphone and it makes my voice really really loud! I can always identify the song when I hear it too. I also like to sing kids songs from YouTube videos.

Where a kid can be a kid

Today we went to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. I played lots of games like Mario Kart and Firefighter and rode some rides too. I also had some yummy pizza and a tasty cupcake. It was my friend Kendall's 2nd birthday.

Where has the Summer gone?

Even though it has been the hottest Summer in Texas ever....I have still had lots of fun. I started a lemonade stand, tried my hand at gardening, took swimming lessons, and visited with my cousins from Kansas. Pre-School will be starting again soon but I still have a few more things on my Summer to do list. Stay tuned.

Little People Bingo

My favorite game right now is Little People Bingo. I really like to play this game with Mommy, Daddy, and Shelby. When I win I do a victory dance and if Shelby wins I do one for her. If Mommy or Daddy wins they have to do their own dance.

Happy 4th of July

What an amazing weekend! We went swimming with our friends the Pettys, then we went to the Round Rock 4th of July Parade and I met Bart Simpson (and got some very brief airtime on Fox News) then we went to the Round Rock Freedom Fest and heard Kelli Pickler and Jerry Jeff Walker!

We're Getting the Band Back Together

While mommy was out running errands, daddy and I were hanging out watching some tv when Pearl Jam-Storytellers came on. "is that green one Eddie?" I asked because I identify people by shirt colors. It was and I said "I want you to be in the band daddy." My daddy said he could not be in Pearl Jam then I suggested we start our own band and so we played guitars while Pearl Jam played on tv.

Cleveland Rocks!

I went to my first Major League Baseball game on June 26, 2009 while I was in Ohio. We saw the Cleveland Indians beat the Cincinnati Reds 9-2. After the game there were fireworks and I got to eat cotton candy for the first time!

Why are we in the bathroom?

This Thursday we had a scare with a tornado warning. We were lucky but some of our friends had their fences blow over, damage to roofs, and hail too. We were hanging out in our bathroom--not sure why. We read some books and it seemed kinda fun to me.

Longest Baseball Game Ever!

On May 30th 2009 I went to the Texas vs. Boston College NCAA Regional game at Disch-Faulk Field. It was my first UT baseball game and it was history! The longest baseball game in NCAA history--25 innings! I only was there for the first 10 innings but Texas won 3-2! It was also one of the greatest pitching performances ever by Austin Wood.

Hey Little Buddie

That is what I say when I grab my cat Shadow and give him a big hug. He is a big cat that weighs about 16 pounds so it is kinda funny.

Bear Bear is in Georgetown

Today was very sad because I left my favorite stuffed friend "Bear Bear" at grandma's house in Georgetown. I could not help but cry about it and say, "She's my best friend in the whole wide world" and "she is my helper" and "she looks out for wild animals." A helpful friend and I will miss her until she comes back home.

Would you like a sandwich?

This morning I woke up in a very good mood and helped Mommy make Daddy's lunch for work today. I put the ham sandwich in the lunch bag and then we walked out and waved as Daddy honked the horn. It was a good start to the day. And tonight we are going to try Mighty Fine for the first time.

Pink Hit Thing

When we were riding back from grandma's house I was telling mommy and daddy about all the sports I want to play and I mentioned that when I get older I will play real tennis. (As opposed to tennis on the Nintendo Wii) and that I would take lessons from daddy and that I would use a "pink hit thing" to play. I also commented that mommy could learn how to play when she gets older.

She Lives There

Yesterday I was playing with some papers that I then said was a message. A message for Hannah Montana. The real one. "she lives there..." I was talking about the cabinet where the paper was stored. I put the message for the real Hannah Montana in the cabinet but I cannot tell you what it says. It's just for her.

I'm a rolly-polly kid

I am really having fun collecting roly-poly bugs. I like to call them my kids and I keep them in a plastic cup on my back porch. Sometimes I give them names too. Whenever we walk Shelby I grab a couple.

Obsession

I am officially obsessed with Mommy. I want to go everywhere she goes, do everything she does, and I just can't get enough. We play games, read books, sit on the couch, I want her to help me with everything.

Peg Leg Pete

Today I colored a picture of Peg Leg Pete from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I sent it with my Dad so he could put it in his office. Pete is sometimes a bad guy and sometimes a good guy. As you can see I am not a color in the lines kinda kid.

I am not cute

Before going to bed last night Dad said "goodnight cute girl" to which I responded I am not cute I am just Brooke Alexis Perry. So then Daddy said "OK goodnight Brooke Alexis Perry who happens to be cute." Then I could sleep easy knowing Daddy knew my name.

Bevo...Bevo...Bevo

I have a bookbag that mommy takes to the library that has Bevo on it. I was talking today about how Bevo is a longhorn and a longhorn is a kind of cow. Sorry Aggies and Bears but I love Bevo.
